Is Trump a Threat to Your First Amendment Rights?

"If you don't agree with me, shut up!" "And if you don't shut your mouth, I'll shut it for you!" That seems to be the alarming attitude of a significant number of American college students, based on a new survey of 1,500 respondents from both private and public colleges, conducted by John Villasenor of UCLA. Among the disturbing findings, 19% advocate violence to silence a speaker engaged in "hate speech," and 51% think it is OK to shout down a speaker with whom they disagree. The students also showed serious ignorance about the First Amendment; only 39% knew that "hate speech" is indeed protected. While students' ignorance and these views are reprehensible, they are shared by some faculty members. Monday, at my alma mater at Georgetown University Law School in Washington, 30 acade...

Why Trump Was Elected

Many have wondered how this blustery, tactless, and outright bully of a man was elected president of the United States. But wonder no more as the reasons are right before our eyes. Only he can fulfil the role of taking the world to the predicted total disaster. His speech to the United Nation and his confrontational manner is just what the Spirit of the Universe required to complete the destruction of the earth. Does anyone doubt that we are in the end times? As entire nations are being destroyed by conflict, the weather, and climate change this is only the start of it. We may watch the pain of those who are already going through it and not suspect that it is our turn next. But who is that naïve? Previous presidents have trod carefully around the issues that are now coming to a head, ...

Could Donald Trump be banned from Twitter?

Could Donald Trump be banned from Twitter?.Speculation over whether Donald Trump will be impeached has been rife since the US president began his term in January. The controversial head of state has historically low poll ratings and has been embroiled in scandals including a fight with the FBI, domestic and foreign policy turmoil, and a war with journalists. Before impeachment, which requires a two-thirds majority in each house of Congress, Trump could be stripped of access to his second most important platform after the White House: Twitter. Trump is in danger of being blocked from the 140-character social network, his communication method of choice, after posting a video clip that depicts him body slamming and punching a man with a CNN logo on his face. The video, which origi...

Stop Trump Commercials – Spread Messages of Truth, Unity and Love

Since Donald Trump took the presidency, more people took to the streets to protest his policies. In fact, just a day after his inauguration, a record-breaking protest was held at the same spot where he was inaugurated. Hundreds upon thousands of women marched in Washington, DC to support women's rights and other important issues. Parallel rallies were held across the country, and even outside the US. Despite the strong messages against Trump and his agenda, it didn't deter him. In fact, he has continued signing executive orders favoring big businesses and oil companies, while placing the environment and middle-class workers at risk. The good thing is that some businesses have also taken measures against Trump. In a powerful rebuke against his controversial policies, these businesses h...

Automation Impacts President Trump Bringing Manufacturing Jobs Back To The US

When Donald Trump ran for President of the United States, he ran on a platform to bring jobs back from overseas. Trump believes that the only reason why the United States lost manufacturing jobs to overseas is because the United States government forced the American people to compete with those of another country. In other words, the government decided to trade with low production cost countries, which hurt the American people in the long run. However, it's President Trump's goal to fix the "mess" caused by previous administration. While it seems like President Trump has the best intentions for the American people, it seems like he is missing, or perhaps underestimating a key part of the manufacturing system, automation. Automation refers to the use of automatic machines and equipment f...
