Local McDonald’s owners will offer a total of $15,000 in scholarship opportunities to outstanding high school students in Kentuckiana again this year.
The Black History Makers of Tomorrow scholarship program honors outstanding high school seniors, with at least one parent of African American or Black Caribbean descent, who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, leadership, character and community service.
The program will award 10 one-time $1,500 scholarships to college-bound Kentuckiana students in order to help further their education.
Interested students can apply for a 2016 McDonald’s Black History Makers of Tomorrow scholarship online at http://bit.do/bhmot2016app. Applications will be accepted through Jan. 31.
