Ex-Dallas officer Amber Guyger’s murder conviction ‘a huge victory for black people in America’

Soon after the complaint was made, Lubbock police met the employee at the store on 50th street to investigate the case. According to the police report, the employee said that Garza had been in the store just moments before and he had purchased items w...

Shonda Rhimes: Black Lives Matter not to blame for Dallas cop deaths

Shonda Rhimes hit back at those who have blamed the Black Lives Matter movement on the murders of five police officers in Dallas on Thursday.“If I hear one more idiot suggest that #BlackLivesMatter incited this… The level of ignorance is stunning. Just absolutely stunning,” she wrote on Twitter. On Friday, police identified Micah Xavier Johnson as the shooter in the attack. He was not affiliated with the protest or Black Lives Matter movement, but was upset over the deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, both of whom were fatally shot by police officers this week. According to Dallas Police Chief David Brown, Johnson “wanted to kill white people, especially white officers.” He was killed by officers after the attack (three other suspects remain in custody).
